BAHAWALPUR: The District Rehabilitation and Training Committee for Special Persons met at the Deputy Commissioner’s office committee room, presided over by DC Bahawalpur Zahid Parvez Waraich.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Bahawalpur, a 3% quota for differently abled people in new and existing commercial companies should be guaranteed. He stated that applications from qualified people should be received at the tehsil level, and funding should be distributed to particular people so that the bulk of them may profit.

Muhammad Uzair, Secretary District Rehabilitation and Training Committee for Special Persons and Deputy Director Social Welfare Bahawalpur, stated that a fund has been established under Section 17 of Ordinance 1981 for the Employment and Rehabilitation of Special Persons.

Committees have been created at the district level to rehabilitate and train exceptional individuals. He stated that Rs 1,156,648 has been set aside for the rehabilitation of unique people. Applications from exceptional people have been received, and after a thorough review, the applicants will be supplied with financial support, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
