RAWALPINDI – Sheikh Rashid, the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), said on Saturday that his mother and the people’s prayers had kept him far from crime.

He said that, unlike Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Ishaq Dar, he didn’t leave the country.

He was talking about the decision by the Interior Ministry to take away the foreign papers of 10 leaders from the previous PTI government.

The experienced lawmaker used the messaging site Twitter to say that he had been a government minister 16 times, spoken at the United Nations, and worked on the country’s nuclear technology. He also said that his “citizenship” and visa had been taken away.
