KARACHI – Imran Ismail, who used to be the governor of Sindh, quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party and all of its positions on Saturday.

During a press meeting on Saturday, he made this statement. He said that he was one of the founder members of PTI and that the party wanted to work to make the country better.

He said that the PTI got a chance to run the country in the 2018 elections, and that it tried to make things better in the country.

“After Imran Khan was removed from power, the PTI tried again to get back in, and a story was made up about how the PTI was against the Establishment,” Mr. Ismail said.

He said that when Imran Khan was arrested, violent protests broke out all over the country, and on May 9, protesters attacked the Jinnah House. He said that anyone who took part in the attacks, whether they were PTI members or not, should be punished harshly.

Mr. Ismail said that a soldier gave his life for his country because he knew that his people would always back him and accept his sacrifices. He also said that everyone should admire the sacrifices made by the security organisation.

The former governor said that this press meeting would be his last because he would no longer be involved in politics in the country.
