KASUR: – On Monday, police claimed to have apprehended two thieves who had been hurt in an altercation.
According to the district police, a civilian, Imran, reported to police on emergency number 15 that an eight-man gang had robbed cash and valuables from pedestrians. According to them, a police unit reacted to the allegation and apprehended the culprits who opened fire on the officers.
Two of the thieves were hurt and brought into jail as a result of the policemen’s retaliation. They said the suspects were wounded during the shooting of their accomplices. They said that police had retrieved the loot and a motorbike from the criminals.
Police said teams had been created to apprehend the fugitives.
