The PTA has announced free on-net calls for anyone who is stranded in Murree.

In light of the prevailing emergency, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has provided a free on-net calling service for all people stranded in Murree due to heavy snowfall.

The PTA stated in an official statement, “In light of [the] emergency circumstances in Murree and Galliat areas, mobile phone subscribers who are currently present in these locations with no balance have been promptly supplied with free on-net calling option.”

All mobile phone companies in Pakistan will offer the service to stranded consumers who have exhausted their balance.

“Cellular mobile providers have extended free calling service on their own network to consumers with zero balance who are stuck in Galliat zones, as directed by the PTA. Users can get further information from their respective operators “the message continued.

The PTA further assured subscribers that “uninterrupted services” will be provided to deal with the situation.

“In addition, the PTA has urged all telecom operators to ensure that users receive uninterrupted service and that adequate backup arrangements are in place in the event of a power loss.”
