The Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered a vacation on December 27 to commemorate former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s 14th death anniversary.

The SHC has announced that Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, and circuit benches will stay closed on December 27. (Monday).

The notification of the holiday was made by the SHC registrar.

On December 27, both federal and provincial special courts will be closed.

The Sindh government has already proclaimed December 27 a public holiday throughout the province, and all public and private institutions would be closed.

Benazir Bhutto, the daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was assassinated on December 27, 2007, soon after addressing an electoral public gathering in Rawalpindi’s famous Liaquat Bagh.
