After visiting the Meta headquarters in Singapore, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto initiates a scheme for Facebook monetization in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD : Following a visit to the Asia Pacific headquarters of international technology giant Meta in Singapore, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto stated that Pakistani producers may now get money off of their Facebook material.
The newly launched Facebook Stars function may be used by content providers, according to FM Bilawal’s explanation on Twitter.
He described it as “huge news” and claimed to be the first representative of Pakistan to visit Meta.
The more stars you gain, the more money you can make with this function.
You may monetize your text, photo, and video postings with the Facebook Stars function. When you are broadcasting live or for on-demand videos that have Stars enabled, viewers can purchase Stars and send them to you.
The FM believed that by implementing this new feature, young people in Pakistan in particular would utilise social media in a more beneficial way.
Additionally, he emphasised how the feature fosters chances for young people and women in the face of economic hardship.
On the request of his Singaporean colleague, the foreign minister spent two days in Singapore. He had brunch meetings with Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and Singapore President Halimah Yacob earlier.
The FM Bilawal stressed the significance Pakistan places on its relations with Singapore, a vital ASEAN partner, during his discussions with President Yacob and FM Balakrishnan.
The two foreign ministers emphasised the need of consistent communication and conversation, exchanging high-level visits, and fostering interpersonal relationships.
They decided to work in the areas of agriculture, the digital economy, and digital finance in order to realise the potential for economic collaboration. They discussed the state of the area and came to an understanding that they should continue to work together to advance beneficial collaboration.
