On Saturday, Chaudhary Tanvir, the imprisoned leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), was brought from Lahore to Rawalpindi’s Cantt police station.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended Chaudhry Tanvir at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport yesterday as he attempted to flee overseas.
The legislator was transferred to Lahore today by a Karachi-based Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) squad.
Tanvir would be brought before a duty magistrate by ACE authorities on Sunday morning.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment was looking for the PML-N leader (ACE). An ACE Rawalpindi team was dispatched to Karachi to take custody of him after his arrest.
