The military’s propaganda wing claimed in a statement on Thursday that security forces launched an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Matti Khel region of North Waziristan district and found a large stockpile of weapons.
The military performed the IBO on the alleged presence of terrorists in the region, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“A substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition includes hand grenades, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and hundreds of bullets were seized from the hideaway during the search,” according to the ISPR.
The ISPR further stated that the residents of Matti Khel have given their entire support to the security forces in their fight against terrorism.
