On Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke by phone with His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

During the phone call, the prime minister praised the UAE’s fast and excellent air defence reaction, which saved valued human lives.

He also sharply criticised the Houthis’ latest attempted missile strike on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on January 30, 2022.

Imran Khan extended his support for the UAE’s leadership, government, and people. He voiced grave alarm about the recent increase of assaults, which has significantly jeopardised regional peace and security.

In addition, the prime minister underlined Pakistan’s unwavering support for efforts to maintain and advance regional peace and security via discussion and diplomacy.

The two presidents also talked about bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interest, and they decided to keep regular and close talks at the highest level going forward.
