NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. After a weekend outage caused by a disagreement between the businesses, YouTube TV began restoring access to Disney programming.
YouTube announced on Sunday that it was restoring service so that consumers could once again access Disney networks such as ESPN, FX, National Geographic, and local ABC stations.
During the downtime, customers were unable to access any live Disney material, including recordings stored to their libraries.
The disruption was caused by a breakdown in discussions between YouTube and Disney over the firms’ contract, which ended late Friday. YouTube had requested that Disney charge the firm the same cost for carrying its programming as it does for other TV providers of comparable size. On Sunday, the corporations struck an agreement.
YouTube apologised for the outage and said it will give affected consumers a $15 refund.
